RAJSHAHI: Income taxes of over Taka 11.92 crore was collected during the week-long tax fair that concluded here yesterday evening.

Tennis complex. Tax Commissioner Dr Khandaker Ferdous Alam today BSS that 16,510 taxpayers submitted their return in the fair while a total of 921 new taxpayers were created. In addition to a consultation point, six stalls from six circles of the zone extended other necessary services in the fair.
Income tax officials provided advices and suggestions on income tax, TIN certificates and assist the taxpayers. Janata and Sonali banks set up booths to help the taxpayers in paying income taxes. Meanwhile, National Board of Revenue (NBR) accorded reception to 42 highest and long-term taxpayers here today marking the National Income Tax Week-2017.
On the occasion, Commissioner's Office of Rajshahi Tax Zone hosted a function at Shilpakala Academy auditorium. A large number of taxpayers including members of the civil society, professional leaders and tax lawyers were present at the function.
